Safety Coffee Break September
6, 1999 At Bloomsdale, MO
This was the last Safety
Coffee Break for 1999. It was probably the best for the year. We started
at about 11 AM and by 3:30 PM we had given away 300 hot dogs 20 gallon of
lemonade 45 pots of coffee and 10 gallon of iced tea. We recorded about
300 hundred visitors and probably some that didn't register. We had about
20 Odd Fellows that helped serve the refreshments. There was Odd Fellows
from Farmington Lodge and St. Louis No. 5. It was a great day for Odd Fellowship.
We gave each visitor a Missouri map, and a litter bag full of Odd Fellows
Literature, pencil, ruler, balloons, ect. This was the first one we held without
Brother Mackey, but we all had the feeling he was watching over us as we
had a almost perfect day for the weather wise. I think Mackey is proud of
us as we know he was watching over us. We wish to thank No. 5 for the support
they gave us by buying the equipment and supplies to have this event. And
a big thanks to the lodges and brothers in the Mineral Area for providing
the big helping hand that they did this year. One of our good brothers was
missing this time as he was at Branson on R&R or something.??????????
I will be inquiring into this CC.
Below are some pictures
we took at the Break.

Isn't this a odd looking group. Especially the cook.
